Law360 (November 1, 2018, 8:54 PM EDT) -- As the private sector prepares for the widespread use of commercial drones that are soon expected to deliver everything from video streams to Amazon packages to life-saving blood donations, the Federal Communications Commission and other agencies are grappling with how to update regulations to keep up with the demand.

Although small, unmanned aerial vehicles fall primarily under the purview of the Federal Aviation Administration, the FCC must figure out how to designate enough licensed and unlicensed spectrum to support drone operations and how to minimize interference in the airwaves.
